Gallery founders and resident artists Alex Krajewski and Anna Krajewski followed a shared passion for art and founded their gallery in 1991 in Paris, Ontario, where they lived and worked for over a decade. They moved to Cambridge, Ontario in 2001, and their business followed in 2004. Their art shop is nestled in the heart of historic Galt, one of three towns that make up today's Cambridge, Ontario. The three landmark core areas of Cambridge — the Village of Hespeler, the Town of Preston, and the Town of Galt — have been an endless source of inspiration for Alex's painting and photography. Many small Ontario towns and cities, including Paris, Ayr, Brantford, Stratford, Guelph, Elora, Toronto, Kingston, and Ottawa, have also been featured in Alex's work over the years.
Anna and Alex Krajewski (2017)
Alex and Anna's painting styles and sources of inspiration have always been dramatically different, yet they share a studio, where they inspire each other and enjoy their painting process. They also publish their art in the form of limited edition prints, which allows them to reach a broader audience. They add the finishing touch to their original paintings, prints, and photographs by selecting the most suitable framing, executed right on the premises.
Krajewski Gallery also offers museum-quality custom picture framing for homes and offices, designed and executed by a professional and experienced gallery team. They provide a wide selection of frame designs, colours, and styles and frame art created in any medium, including oil, acrylic, watercolour, drawing, photography etc. We also frame needleworks, memorabilia, and family heirlooms.
